Usually you can place the scorpion in an empty container and tilt it up slightly to get an underneath photo.
Scarier specimens such as my A. mauritanicus readily glassdanced for me when I encouraged them out of their hides. I also moved my [also scary] P. liosoma into a delicup so I could hold her above the camera without fear of tipping or dropping the container.

Great video! Are those your scorpions? They're so chill, and very impressive.
That was so helpful, I think if I still need to get some pectine shots I can get some good ones now. Again, very helpful vid, thanks!

Thanks... and Yes! All the Pandinus and Heterometrus I've ever owned have been very calm once out of their enclosure.

yeah that video is great, but some people say they are more worried about the pinch. to me i would be more worried about the sting.

I've had broken skin, blood blisters and bruises from pinches yet in 2 years+ never stung by them.

Well, there also is the luck aspect. You've got yourself two gentle looking giants (No doubt a bit more territorial in-tank). I hope to get a red claw near that size (though they do get a bit smaller) and hope it is... well... not majorly aggressive... if he is well, he wont be comin out much

I would remove her into her own tank. She will probably kill the others to make sure her young dont become food for them xxxx

they seem to get along fine, they will huddle on top of each other under the light in the daytime and all squeeze in their burrow at night.
but i just got a 20 gallon tank so now i can separate them totally.

i agree wi connie you really should mover her to her own tank, i understand that they get along fine but it only takes a minute for something to go wrong, just picture a pregnant woman shes normally lovely but when shes gunna pop she aint so sweet no more, so basically why risk your scorpions?
