| what do you think is better? a glass or plastic cage? ive got a kritter keeper and im finding it difficult to keep up humidity, ive got another kk tank set up for the little ones and im concerned that it will cause stress for the little ones | |

| I have both . . . plastic is lighter and I'm less worried about stacking them, but glass makes better display setups. | |

| If you cant keep the humidity up in a kritter keeper then cover 3/4 of the lid with clingfilm | |

| Sometimes it takes longer; Connie's took almost two weeks if I'm not mistaken.
Temperature can have a big influence on it. | |

| I doubt it. Connie's have also started molting to 3I without a problem. It's probably just different temperatures. | |

| speaking of moulting! last night one whole full moult in the middle of the tank! Ive kept it! So three have moulted into 3rd Instar! YAYAYAYAYAYAY! I was always told a week to ten days for the babies to come off mums back. Dont worry, they will come off when they are ready. mine came off at 2 weeks and 1 day! My babies began moulting before 8 weeks I think *diary upstairs and cant be bothered to move* yesterday in age they all hit 10 weeks and only 3 have moulted. I think it also depends on how much food. My babies arent cold, so I doubt it the temp, but if it is....so what, they are clearly ok and happy and able to moult Dont worry. I know its rich coming from me but ive now learnt that they will do it when they are good and ready xxxxxxxx | |

| That's fun when they leave exos out in the open like that. I had one of my baby emps molt a few days ago and shoved its exo in between the hide and the tank wall, so it was crush. He'd JUST finished, too, because he didn't glow at all when I put the blacklight on them all. | |

| I seem to get more intact molts from my Heterometrus community than I do with my emps. | |

| eeek! checking the night after a feed is always a good idea!
Dont worry about it though, just remove the cricket *as im sure you have hehe* and any remaining mould you can see.
Its happened to me before...well with leg pieces. Clearly the scorpion(s) didnt want feeding that time, try again next week
Another note, from what I have noticed. When my grrrl wants feeding she always sits with her chela poking out the hide and open. If you dont see that for a while then she doesnt want food, but if you notice one night she has her chela poking out, pop one cricket in and judge by what she does xxxxx

| What Connie mentioned is the "I'm hungry" pose. Usually, if I see my scorps doing this and I offer prey, they readily accept. | |
