| GAH! Just discovered the remaining telsonless 3I is motionless! and just discovered that the heat mat is dead! I have no idea how long that has been dead for. Took her out, fipping over to check booklungs...and saw the slightest movement in the legs! SOAKED the substrate....and placed on a heatmat to get the humidity going! This could be a coldness and lack of water death...or possible or nearly death!!! poor little one! This little one is a super runt anyways...so death happening is...well very likely even with all the conditions correct...I hope the little one recovers!!! Fingers and toes are well and truely crossed! | |

| Not moved yet from the spot. Is "raised" though and not flat out dead looking...but it could just be a death pose....but its SUPER humid in the tank now...so just need to wait...im sure if the little one is dead tomorrow I will know as the body will begin to flatten *sighs* | |

| Well, if the least healthy ones don't make it, then you'll be contributing to the hobby with nice and healthy Pandinus. I always tend to look on the upside of things. Best of luck with the rest of your brood. | |

| I feel your pain, Connie. Like the mordax? They're so communal, one ate the sibling sharing its burrow! Separating also tends to make it easier for the slings to find their prey. | |

| keep humidity up. that was the death of one scorpling. One without a telson died that way. Wasnt humid enough, couldnt slip out and died though stress I believe. that was 21 into 3I
it should take about....hmmm...well I witnessed someone coming out and from what i saw...from them half way out to fully out took about an hour...so I would say no more at MOST 4 hours...but Im not 100% on that really! I would say anything over a day then the little one is having problems. | |

| THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING CAREFUL!!!!!
At least a head count has been done. 10. that means there has been more munching. Oh well! At least those ones are alive. Had it not been for me actually noticing and Adam coming as quickly as he did. I might have lost some more!
I was pouring in some water. I didnt realise that along the back it was already soaked. Im pouring away. Normal amount. I then notice the water is...waterlogged. scorplings drowing in their burrows and at the bottom! HOW STUPID OF YOU CONNIE! Im just glad I looked closer into the tank!
We ran to the bathroom and poured the water out, one scorpling fell into the pool of water but got out. it was drama! Adam recieved a dry sting. tank was also rotten! the coco fibre had been rotting away. I need to check it more often. I also think I need to improve the ventilation! in seeing that I know its just getting gross in itself!!!!
Poor scorplings were put into an old, dirty cricket container. nice. most of thats been poured into their new tank!!!!...while trying to pick it out (they all huddled together) I blooming pick one up by the tail. THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING CAREFUL CONNIE! Seems ok. I was just a bit scared really. I would never have forgiven myself!!!
On another note...my 4I's look like 5I will be coming along soon!
One little one grabbed onto the cork bark as was trying to get him in. he knows the strength of his chela. glad it wasnt my finger.
SO! THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING CAREFUL! a simple, every day/week routine CAN go wrong. Pay attention. Be careful. You dont want to make a mistake that I nearly made!
