| Yeah, she is greedy. She once tried to eat a cookie too The previous owner used to breed rats so her diet was mostly defrost rat pups, now she goes crazy as soon as she even sees the tweezers. My male won't take them though, I've once tried with a pinky but without success. They mainly get supers now, and occasionally some roaches (atleast until my colony settles). Btw. how many supers do you feed yours? I've been giving them 5-6, 2 times a week but I sometimes wonder if it's enough.. I'll try to make a vid of the next feeding attempt. Bex, I think most pythons and boas are pretty shy. When I was making some research before I took mine, I was told that if I want something less shy and more active, I should forget the royal and take a corn instead. | |

| Congrats mate at least she's eaten. Take it was alive, looks like the mouse got a bite in lol Yeah she seems pretty shy but settling in now and starting to come out more. Like Dolby said I think they're pretty shy by nature. My beardies can never get enough food mate. I give them probably about 10 supers each a few days a week and greens the other days. Yeah If I only fed roaches they'd probably finish of my colony | |

| Yeah, she refused defrost again so I gave alive one. Not sure if it got a bite, could be just the tongue hanging out from the constricting. Atleast no wounds on her. I was going to kinda just stuck the defrost on her mouth while she's finishing the live one as this is what I was recommended, but I forgot it under the heat lamp for too long..not a nice view.

| Nice ball! Mine is now in transition from live to defrost. Not an easy task, but feeding will be easier/safer after it's done. | |

| I have been thinking about getting a Ball Python, but have read that most pet stores don't care for them properly, and that they're wild caught..
Was just wondering where I should look for one.
Thanks | |

| Yep, it sucks a bit as I´d prefer dealing with frozen. She´s a master hunter though so I´m not too worried about injury. No mice are ever in her enclosure without surveillance either. | |

| Not at the moment but I've been considering on starting to do it as I've heard it is a good way of preventing the ball from becoming aggressive etc. | |

| Yeah I'm starting this week, as I just got her a couple weeks ago and would have been too nervous to eat in a new enclosure. Perhaps once you get yours in a habbit of knowing when its feeding time it will take a frozen without thinking about it. My friend uses one specific box and once his snakes go in there their whole attitude changes. ...who knows... | |

| Ooo I've missed quite a bit in here. How's everyones snakes doing?
Nice albino bluefrogtat, any full body shots? and that's a nice snake Ludedor, be sure to post more as it grows.
Mines been doing well, still smashing frozen rats every 5 days without fail. I'll sort some more pics of her soon, she's grown a bit.
As for feeding in another container, I did plan to do it before I got her but like you it stressed her to much at the start and would have put her off. Now I just leave the rat near her enclosure to defrost and she knows she's being fed then.

| Have you been monitoring her size? Mine has grown from around 100gr to 138gr, which is pretty good IMO considering she had a rough start with the feedings.
Now she's entirely on live mice unfortunaly, but she has great appetite so I'm happy.

| That's good mate, all that matters is they're putting on weight.
I have been weighing her but haven't since the last few feeds, last time she was 180g up from 160g but she's just been fed so I will re-weigh her when she empties out.
