| Im very stoked right now to find my baby had a few babies of her own! It maybe just a little too soon to be cheering but i need some tips on how to take care of the new borns. ( temp, humidity, lights.... ) Should i make any adjustments to the source since there is babies? I wish i can take a picture of it but i have no camera on me, but by tomorrow i can pick one up hopefully There is a total of 8 Scorplings chilling on her back. i think its pretty cute and my sister thinks that too lols. i really would appreciate any sorta help to make these babes grow up and live~ Let me know! thanks And by the way, im not the type to get OVERLY EXCITED and bother the mom and babies, b.c. i know how sensitive the scorplings and scorp can be at this stage.. its been only 2 days now, and it seems to be CHILLING at this point. | |

| Scorpions dont need lights above them, so dont ever worry about giving light. The best thing you can do is IGNORE mum and babies for 2 weeks. Put a towel over the front and every other day gently open the tank to POUR in water onto the substrate which in turn will bump up the humidity. If you have a heat pad, great, leave it where it is. She was happy in the conditions you gave her *heat wise* so no need to change anything.
Just ignore her and the babies for 2 weeks and every other day pour in water to keep it nice and humid.
You do not need to offer mum food, some take it some dont. I offered food for mine and she just killed the food item and left it

| Congrats on your brood! Connie is pretty spot on. The only thing i'd add is if your heatmat is underneath the tank move it to the side, as this will cook the babies in thier burrow also, what type of scorpion is it you have? (obviously a forest scorpion because of the section its in) When pouring in water try to do this whist not disturbing your scorpion mum. | |

| OK, im sorta getting worried now, im not sure what is the next step i should be looking foward to on these babies. I keep hearing 2Instar? Im guessing that is the term for its first SHEDDING to a 2nd Coming? hmmm, not even sure how i can tell when this will happen. I've keeping an eye on my Emp. and its scorplings peacefully through the tank with a Blue Flourescent light. It looks all good right now but im feeling sorta anxious to find out what my next observation should be on the little baby bombers.. lols~ Look for any clues? | |

You're right but without a photo i didn't want to assume, as alot of forest species get mis-id'd by some shops and sellers. I dont think you really need the heating lamp, the heat mat should be sufficient. They should moult within about two weeks and you can tell this has happened as they will have lost thier maggot look and will look more like scorpions, you will see a white substance over the mothers back (their first yolky like molt) and finally start to leave the mothers back. so dont do anything but leave them in peace till this happens. When it does you can chuck in headcrushed crickets for food.

Hmm i guess but I like the heating lamp since the heating mat seems to be "weak" and "ineffecient" on keeping a stable temperature, bc my room is a bit cold sometimes, & the ambient temperature is always fluctuating. but thanks anyways. :S but umm.YEAH! .OK Great!!... thanks man, Really do appreciate it!
