My C. Vittatus gave birth and ate her babies

My gravid female finally gave birth after a long wait then decided her babies looked pretty tasty and had a snack

I dont have a pic of her eating her babies cuz i had to go to work but when i got back there were none except a few she was still munching on
But it had a happy ending later that day she mated with one of the males so now back at square one

Those embryos look a bit under developed to me. Probably why she made them into dinner. Mmmmm scorpion veal.

yeah the only other scorpion i had give birth was a C. sculpturatus AZ bark, and they almost immeaditly climbed on their mothers back, maybe she gave birth early so she could mate with that Colin Farrell looking male scorp

Then i guess she'll give you a healthy and even better looking brood in a few months time

yeah there was a couple left on floor from what she ate i picked them out, changed substrate since then anyway. @ GS thanx i hope that be way cool, by the way awsome vids on youtube
