If yours is an adult (which it looks like it may be) it could be very gravid. i suspected mine as gravid coz i saw ur photo earlier, which reddish bulbs could be seen at the membrane.. adult?im not very sure.but i can say is that the colour of telson is brown, which is same as yours too.. the scorpy[in photo],took how long before she gave birth?

| "Cord on the back" refers to being able to see the central nerve cord through the membrane -- basically, the dark stripe you can see running underneath mine's tergites. It's very faintly visible in your photos. Checking dates, will edit post momentarily. Edit: My pictures were taken one month before she popped. (October 12 to November 11.) She didn't feed during that time, and hadn't since late September, I believe. | |

| Not really anything you can do to verify if she's gravid -- with some scorps, you can see embryos through the membrane, but with scorps this big it's harder to tell (thicker membrane).
Use your own discretion for looking for more females.
The nerve cord just tends to be more visible in scorps that are heavily gravid. It's not a definite sign, but it's a bit of a clue.

| Yup.
Looks more gravid in that pic than your first one. I'd estimate a month or so (plus or minus, depending on temps). Make sure she has access to water -- my girl was awful thirsty the last few months.

| If she doesn't eat, don't offer food. Most females feed less as they approach partuition.
Camera lights don't hurt her. At most, it may startle her into going for her burrow.

| Junshern, your girl looks HUGE. I can really see the nerve cord in that pic. I'd suggest giving her somewhere to hide, though, so she doesn't feel to stressed and eat her babies when the time comes. | |

| Some time a gravid scorpion can be hard to tell whether or not it actually is. here is two pictures of my Malaysian forest 3 day before she had her brood. sadly there was only 9 survivors | |
