| ok...previously i cover the tank with a foil to preserve the humidity, this had been done to trigger the birth.. i had removed the foil since she pops.. now the environment is getting dry due the removal of foil.. now how could i mist the tank?the babies probably get hurt if i mist.. anw,i will try to mist it by tomorrow.. her photo looks dry huh? also, she ain't hiding..weird.. | |

| you dont need sand in the substrate. but dont worry about that now!
Ok even though she HAS birthed you STILL need to keep the humidity up which we have been saying which means...keep that foil on since it helped you to have the humidity. Pour water on the substrate and yes you can mist...because of course and I ASSUME that the female has a HIDE to hide under with her young?!?
and you NEED to stop uncovering her for photo ops. we all know what it looks like, I KNOW its exciting but every time you bother her, you are just putting those babies at risk

| only if she gets stressed she will eat her young.
so...does she actually have a hide to hide under with her young? are you going to put that foil back for humidity and are you gonna leave her alone?

| If a scorpion fell off of mom, it's probably doomed. Either dead / not fit to survive / she'll eat it. Just
LEAVE
HER
BE
Like we've told you many times before.

| And so it begins.
I started off with a pandinus imperator brood.
there were 19 to begin with.
there are now only 7 or 9 left, and I know who will be death's next victim.

I dont know how many of the het babies are alive. im kinda just not watching as TOMORROW im taking them from mum as I think now she isnt soo broody to them and pushing them from the heat. never seen one eaten by her but random deaths. I have LOADS so some will survive
over the road are getting 4 off me after xmas

| if your checking on her the babies could be getting stressed, weak then falling off. ive heard there hard to get a good yield out them. If you want any to live then leave her be if they molt and come off she still wont eat them. they will be ok. | |

| with my het I just left her alone and at 1 week and 1 day they all came off the back and were running about as happy as anything...all 32 of them...kept them in with mum. its only when ive moved them ALL into a bigger tank when they hit 3I that im NOW having deaths. not eating ones...but random. I dont think this big tank is as humid as they like! I dont know why! | |

| if they are 1I and not yet off the mothers back then they do not need food. she gives their energy to them though her "skin" If they are 2I then they will be running about happily. If they are falling off and not moving and not even moulted then sadly there is NOTHING you can do for them as at 1I they totally depend on their mother
the mother doesnt need to eat. I had a female not feed for 2 months before she birthed and after a week I did offer but she just killed the food item. A mother scorpion will not eat her young for food

| dont even peek man, forget about her. thats the best you can do, when the babies start to harden after the first moult then you can offer them food ok. | |
