| just got a new IR the old one was a 50W bulb but this one is a 60W which will mean i only have to dim it abit more but it looks different in colour its a red bulb but its got a yellow glo within the red but doesnt say its IR like the last one did on the box this one just says red night spot lamp, this is the one i have got in the pic off the internet thats why its 40W is this still IR? | |

| I can't find any detail on this lamp that specifically says it's IR, but almost all incandescent light bulbs emit IR light.

This should be your bulb.
If all you're doing is providing a nocturnal heat source than it should be fine. | |
