| ok i just got an emp last weekend and my room gets rather cold at night so i bought an ex-terra night glo bulb, it says it simulates moonlight but it makes my emp glow green, i know they do that when under a black light, and black lights are some what harmful to them so im not sure if this bulb is good for him. has anyone ever used this bulb? is it bad for him? heres a link to the bulb: http://www.exo-terra.com/en/products/night_glo.php
thanks, Bryan | |

| I have got this bulb with my emps due to my room getting cold aswell, as soon as I saw my emp glowing green i took it straight out but then i realised it doesnt say UV absolutely anywhere on the box. She is doing fine and i put it on everynight. | |

| Red is good -- the lamps are warm and scorps can't pick up the red section of the visible spectrum. | |

| I was looking at your link, and at the Glow Light lamp, and would love to get one. Are those commonly available at local pet stores? What is the approx. cost for the lamp & bulb? The 5.5" lamp would be the one I would get. Thanks! I have yet to see my new emp glow! | |

| it all depends on where you go but a lamp maybe 20 and bulb ive seen for like 5-10 dollars but get a lamp with ceramic top because plastic tends to melt may cost more but its worth it | |
