| I'm not positive but I think my emp is &bout to molt. What is weird tho is that he has been fairly active and eating even tho somwhat irreguler compaired to normal. My questions are what should I look for and how should I change his tank to help him through. I think he is about to because the ends of his pinchers have turned white and it seems to be sp1eading. If +e is molting im assuming i2 will be one o5 his la$t. His stinger is dark orange. Sorry for messed up words this is done on my phone. | |

| If he's about to molt, he shouldn't be active. Try not to shift him around. Keep the substrate well dampened and temperature at 80-90F. Pictures would help to analyse more accurately. | |

| Sometimes they burrow through the sides of the enclosure wall and even right to the bottom where they can be "exposed" using a black light during the night. Just a thought. Keep us updated | |

| Good effort but visitors who aren't login to facebook might not be able to view it? Possible to do some permission settings?
If not, may i suggest using image hosting site e.g photobucket, flicker etc

| Do you mean that the tip of the chelae only whitens recently? I'm not sure what it was but it does not seem to be a phenomenon prior to a molt. If it is a way of lossening during a molt, it's most likely to be "browning" of the outer exoskeleton due to the absence of the "flesh".
What does the 2nd part on the "turqoise" means?

| I'm not sure what the white tipped chela means but I don't think it points towards a molt.
"turquoise" is a greeny blue colour. Which is pretty strange for the underside of a scorpion to be that colour.

| i think the underside might of been that way because of the flash light i had used to look at him. because its gone now. same as the white tips. got a good look at him today and everything is back to normal. | |

| Good to hear that. As suggested by Jay, you may wish to try and capture some shots under natural sunlight. The difference in result is usually satisfying | |
