Ok so I looked into my tank this morning and I couldn't find one of my juvenile emps. I looked in their burrow which comes right to the glass of the tank so I can always see them. Only the adults and the sub adult was there. I picked up the rock I put in and the other juvenile was under there. I looked under the mealworm dish and nothing. Then I was worried because I put half a 20oz bottle(cap end) in the tank for water. It's roughly 10oz of water give or take. And sure enough the juvenile was at the bottom near the cap. I ripped it out f the substrate and got it out. As soon as I put him down he grabbed the last cricket. I put the water bottle back in and refilled it. Went outside to get some rocks to put in it so it couldn't do it again. I come in and the scorpion was back down in the water bottle still eating the cricket. So it's not like it just fell in, he did it on purpose. How long can they hold their breath? Anyone else have their emp chill out under water? Or is my scorp just a noob?

So he did it again last night. Only this time he backed himself down in between the bottle and the rocks I put in.(so he couldn't do it again) and he was completely submerged. Can anyone please tell me WHY he is doing this? I have no idea how long he was under the first time he did it because he could have got it anytime between midnight est and 11:30am or so. Every other time he was under for less than a minute. Only because I pulled Noob out. Yes I named him Noob. He's the only one with a name. Anyways any info/advice would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

A bit strange that he keeps going down there....

Some scorps can stay under water for long periods of time...

All I can suggest is to increase the overall humidity in the tank or get rid of the bottle and replace it with an alternative.

Humidity stays steady at 80%, temp between 80-90 degrees F. I use coco fiber. I put another rock in the bottle and now he can't get down there. But he hangs out right next to it like he wants back in. I need a camera so I can post pics to help figure out how old they are. The one that was doing it is about 1 1/2 - 2 inches long.(body length)
