| I'm sure you do. Do they put chemicals in it though like chlorine for example? | |

| Sounds fine on the water front then... I don't know. How is your ventilation? | |

| I see. No problem with ventilation in that case. Well [hopscotch] man. I can't see any obvious problems. Not that I feel you are the type to half-[buttocks] anything. Sorry for your losses anyhow. I'm sure with time and patience all things will come together. | |

| Bark scorpions always are great, too bad they need a more elaborate enclosure than desert species. | |

| thanks.theres nothing like a fresh exo skeleton and a decent camera. yeah they are growing fast.kept at 79-80 degrees and fed fruit flies twice a week with an occasional small cricket for the ones that are aggressive hunters. barks do need a slightly different setup than other desert species since theyre the climby type.makes fun for some creativity and variety in your set ups. | |

| Same here, one of my Tityus asthenes molted too. Today. I believe it is instar 4-5 now. And it is beautiful. Already pretty big if stretched out. They have huge elongated pedipalps. A bit like obscurus, but less pronounced. I believe this is a female asthenes. They behave more like spiders than their terrestrial scorpid brothers and sisters. They are quite venomous sharing the highest spots with Andros etc but since they are more camou type scorpions, keeping them is literally kids play. They will rather wrap up like a ball, or run than they will sting. Fully adult the speckles will disappear and the scorpion will turn matte black. the subaculear tubercle is visible on this one one and all grace, more so irl and when moving (superfast) | |

| Thanks :-) I feel like a happy camper! Its no impressive collosal scorp like an emp, nor as brutal as a Pt, but they have something creepy about them. | |

| lol prolly right Annababe! If you see them move they extend their chelae and pedipalps, which is pretty intimidating, but they do this because they would otherwise get stuck. They double in size when they move. When they sit down again, they put their 'arms' back beside their head.
They 're just freaky to watch. Do Arizona bark scorpions do this too?

| Eh, that I don't know. Some pictures I've seen it looks like they do at rest. And I was mistaken the other day when I said Haddys were the ones that laid their tails to the side at rest............it's actually these guys. That's how you can readily identify them at rest (and avoid them) lol.
I don't think I've ever actually seen one in person and if I have I was probably running from it at the time since I knew nothing about scorpions at all the last time I saw one in the wild.
