Hi guys
Yesterday my hottentotta caboverdensis poped. They are very cute.
This is late night picture so it is not sharp as it could be... I dont
She seemed restless the other day so I put in this stone "water bowl" and she went in and started poping... looks like she was searching for solid ground.

Yes I knew she was close to pop them out but two days ago all night I was hearing scratching on the glass.... in the morning she still was trying to climp the glass. She ate a week ago, she was drinking also, temperature was fine. I changed the only thing I colud , provided clean solid surface.... it did the trick. I know now for my second H.C. that is also close to poping.

Here is my H. swammerdami brood. (December 2011) There were a total of at least 25. Some were sold, i kept 12 and now there are 11. They have been going together for weeks without any fighting. I'm trying to raise them communally until they are grown, to see if they will stay "friends" all the way without separation.
Hope my emp and glabifrons will pop soon!

Great picture Callum. The mother must have been quiet relieved to get that brood out of her stomach . I had the chance to get a few of those Iurus kraepelini a while back but passed it over. Now seeing your picture i regret it.
What sort of size is the mother Callum?

she's been huge for quite a while but then over the past few weeks lost quite a bit of her 'fatness' so I thought she may have aborted. Then this brood appeared lol. Mouth to aculeus she's around 7 - 8cm.
They're quite interesting in the fact that the young spend most of their time on the mothers back right through to 3i.
2i born earlier this year still on mums back. Very small brood but all are still doing well.
3i a couple of days after moulting, back on mum. This was the one survivor of a brood of 6. The other 5 died at 1i for an unknown reason.
There are still some adults available from bugzuk over here. He does ship abroad, however they're quite expensive. If a decent amount of this brood make it to 2i I'm happy to send you some over.

That sounds like a plan mate .. Let me know if it becomes actual and maybe we could do a swap of some kind if i have some non DWA scorps around at that time.

Interesting observation Callum.
They are definitely in "good size"
Really loving the natural lighting in your pictures. Clear and sharp subjects with nice bokeh!
