| I keep my small scorpions in 100cl deli-cups, more lids to open but still more secure. | |

| I prefer separate cups aswell, but I'm having trouble finding big quantities of suitably sized cups.
@pluto
Sorry for your loss dude, I lost one B. occitanus the other day, I guess I should had kept some moisture in the cup as it looked like it'd dried out.

| SOrry to hear DolbyR, as you can see we all make mistakes sadly. My bad was, that Parabuthus are nervous little things that like to stand on their tail. This way, even instar 3 is pretty BIG.. and they jumped the separators to a Mauritanicus As you can see, it didnt turn out well for the andro. Now I have them all separated. If I have litters of my adults, they are going communally into a big box, where they will be fed almost dailey. They will stay together for as long as I can keep them. When I see signs of cannibalism they're all going into cricket containers. I have, like Chrome warned me, bad experience with these toolboxes. Even taped off etc... Its not worth losing a gorgeous scorp. I posted these to bex yesterday. I found them pretty macabre so wasnt sure to post them online but why not. Hell, keeps people warned interspecies dont mingle well. I do have to say for instar 2 mauritanicus they are pretty big compared to instar 3 Parabuthus (who are supposed to be one of the largest Buthid around) | |

| Yeah, I'm moving mine out of the toolbox aswell, the Buthus are small, but they are able to climb over to the other side. The first 2 days I was finding groups of 2 scorps per "separation". Jut 3 are now left in this box. Need to find some small cups FAST, as my order from Carlos should be arriving today. 3 more spp. and atleast 15 scorplings total lol | |

| damn dude good luck!!!! Yes, no matter how good the box is, they always seem to find a way lol.
The parabuthus are like 3cm tall when stretched out, if not more, hard to keep them inside in communal boxes. Same kind species dont attack each other if well fed, other species apparently do.

| Maybe not in normal conditions, but I prefer to keep it safe, wouldn't want a to see a freshly molted scorp get eaten. | |

| Sry about your loss bro.. For slings, they can really get through tiny openings.. When using such tackboxes, best bet will be get those with fixed separators rather then removable ones. My 2i andro slings are placed in these fixed partitioned ones, sand substrate dept only abt 0.8cm, they cant reach the top even if they stand on their tail. By the time they reaches 3-4i, even if they are able to lift themselves up to the tip using their tail, they could not squeeze and climb over anymore.. btw, 9 is still a good number to get a few pairs/ trios | |

| Ye Gs bro, its [does your mother know you talk like that?] up to see one of those darn Transvaal munching on a slender and classy Andro :-)
Just wait till those Mauritanicus get big. I might suggest they are not much smaller, not from what I have seen and more than 10x as venomous (4.30 vs 0.31). I think the little Pt was lucky to do it now lol.
Anyway doesnt matter, they are never going to meet each other again!! I cant lose another Am or Pt.
Anyway, lets be positive I still have 10 Am's. I had 11 :-)

| Exactly certainly since one of those is your beloved favourite species. But ok, these things happen! Not anymore though, in fact I made enclosure out of sand and clay.. they are going in when the go from i2 to i3.
I believe it is a lot better for them to have some solid ground in which they can still burrow and stay active with something instead of lingering around.

| These are the enclosures I prepared for them (all 20) Got them in two sizes Small for juveniles: 12cm wide by 24cm deep Large for males and temporary scorps: 17cm wide by 24cm deep Still drying out, when they're dry, I'll clean the edge and prepare the lids. Its basically clay with brown fine sand like you find in petstores for 15 euro/3kg lol. The clay is supplied from non perfumed cats grains.. You know the stuff people use for cats to take a dump on. It is basically pure bentonite. Mixed with water gets a rocksolid cave which you can fill up with sand etc... they can however excavate a little in the bentonite too.. which makes for happy critters. It also holds moisture well since it doesnt hard out like real clay. | |

| aaaaahhhh cool another thing learned. Thanks street! Petrified wood!
I did make something fun lol.. I made a scorptotem out of clay for the scorplings... Since I know they will be going for hide out places and a box only has little surface area, I made something like a hive for them to run into.
Am hoping this will keep cannibalism to a minimum
