New Scorpio Maurus!

Yep, went back to the local pet store and got me the Scorpio Maurus they had for sale.

I am pretty sure I have a female according to this one care sheet.

She is in a temporary home right now, I am waiting for my 2.5g to dry up.

I have black repti sand, I am using peat moss and coco fiber to try to help with the burrowing.







I got 2 50w IR lights beaming down on the enclosure hopefully it will dry in a few days

They are said to be vicious. Are they really that nervous?

So true, I have a multiple enclosure setup in mind though, which will save me space and allow me to house quite a few spp.

BTW she can fit snug inside a 20L coke bottle cap if that gives you a rough size estimate lol

For my beardies, the encloure will be identical, but just a single one most likely. For the inverts I will make, using the same aluminum profiles, a 60wide, 30 deep wall unit. 180cm high, soit will have 6 levels, for communal setups a whole level will be used, and for the rest the levels will be splitted on 2. So one unit like this gives me pace for either 6 communal setups, or 12 single ones. To good with this i that I can always add to them and make the unit wider.

Yeah they are pretty fiesty, my pair gets defensive easily whenever their tanks' lid are opened.
