@ GS
Thanks for the kind words and yes, he really is a good looking specimen. Only down side to him is he a significant amount smaller than the size of my larger female and my jayakari male is about the size of your average Androctonus australis male. I can't wait to see how her genetics will influence the offspring. With my next rotation I'll be using a 20 gallon long size aquarium house the 10-20 I plan on keeping around.

Regards,

Here is something to tide you over until I can steal my girlfriend's Hd flip to videotape the jayakari

Tityus simonsi 1.1 from the same brood male is what is considered "dark form" and the female is patternless

I was originally keeping the species name as a little secret, but I figure I'll spill since they're getting bred.

Great shots with your new toy and beautiful species Smile
Congrats with the gravid Hottentotta cf. polystictus. I can see her beauty even more clearly with the new pics. Very nice "markings" on her back!

She´s absolutely gorgeous. Love the colouring on her back. Looks pretty much as plump as my H. cabo, maybe even a bit more.

She is really pretty and a smaller Hottentotta species at that. I can't wait to raise up a few generations. Unfortunately, due to their superficial similarities to trilineatus, they wont ever get very popular here in the states.

Sweet broods and specimens my friend.

I like the clarity of the pictures you posted.

Hottentotta judaicus' young are gorgeous. Purplish and exotic colorings!

They're a really cool species and incredibly social. I've had a breeding group together for some time now. I only separate females when they become extremely bloated. The female pictured was removed not even 24hrs before she gave birth.

Thanks, they're truly a fun species to work with. I enjoy the fact that they are relatively consistent with their production and their broods aren't overwhelmingly huge either, not to mention their more than social nature. I'm currently keeping a jayakari trio with identical variables to my judaicus. I've seen a lot of social behavior out of them as well, although nowhere near the same caliber of the judaicus.

Managed to snap a picture with decent number of adult stigmurus in one shot, kinda thought it was neat.

Thanks, Dolby. I really enjoy keeping the Tityus genus as a whole, minus the attention to cleaning that I have to abide by.

This is my little golden child Tityus. She is a patternless Tityus simonsi/ecuadorensis and she is very much gravid. She just abandoned unfertilized embryos a few days ago, so I imagine she is nearing the end of her gestation. Keep your fingers crossed for me guys!

Envyizm's scorpion pictures - Page 3 Dsc00020

With some luck, I'll be posting pictures of dense little patternless simonsi clusters within a few generations of selectively breeding this species.
