| Quite possibly my all time favorite species from my all time favorite genre. As far as I know, I'm the only person to reproduce this species life cycle thus far. Being the first brood, I have a semi superstitious ritual to disturb as little as possible. Sorry, but this is the best pic you'll be getting... Also, I may make small groups of this species available at my discretion. However, I will be hoarding a vast majority of the first brood for obvious reason. Oh, and my ever faithful breeder managed to yet again produce more Leiurus quinquestriatus quinquestriatus (Egypt) | |

| It's an awesome start and kudos to your efforts. I know it's really not an easy job when you start something from scratch. Congrats and keep up the great work | |

Thanks for the kudos everybody. Since you seem to know what species it is, don't spill the beans to anyone. I have a friend who is playing a guessing game with me to see if he knows what species it is. As I produce more, I'll be offering more to people at my discretion. Unfortunately, they have pretty small broods for the most part and the first brood I'm going to hoard for the most part. I'll be letting people know in private when more will be available.

Babycurus gigas Unfortunately, I failed pretty terribly with that species. My only fertile female gave birth to about 20 and randomly ate them all and died shortly after, leaving me with a female who matured an instar early and for what I can tell is sterile. I tried to give a hint by stating that the species is from my favorite genus, which is Hottentotta. However, I also really enjoy keeping species from the Buthus, Mesobuthus and Compsobuthus genera as well, but they're all really similar to the Hottentotta genus. Here is a better shot of the new mother. Hottentotta jayakari

How long is the gestation period for her? I have yet seen anyone from US with success with this species at all. Kudos to you As expected, your Breeder's tag fits you nicely. Awesome work again.

| If I remember correctly, the gestation was around 5-6 months. Got them off her back and counted, 24 total. As expected for the genus, the brood size was pretty modest with large individual scorplings. Thanks for the kudos, my friend

| Figured i'd take the opportunity between classes to upload some photos of my Babycurus jacksoni chocolate or dark morph. These guys really resemble the color and look of milk chocolate as adults. Too bad they're not very appealing for those who like to purchase animals on impulse, thus aren't as common as the typical morph. Nerm Nerm Nom NOm NOM! Enjoy, everyone. | |

I've been keeping this species cycling for next to forever now. If ever get time to research the policies of how to export wild life to your location, I could always send you some. I would just be afraid of the time in transit over stressing them.

| There's pretty good supply of species in Germany and Czech Republic and these are usually easily available. I've been meaning to import some for my collection but I paused with imports this year due to some unfortunate event at the borders early this year (not to me), as I didn't want to risk getting them stuck at the customs. | |
