Not moving at all for 18 hours and before that only slight movement. I suspect it was old age. I need recommendations on what to get as well. A) pandinus cavimanus B) heterometrus spinifer
Can they be handled?

Anything can be handled.
But nothing should be handled.
That being said, P. cavimanus are very edgy in my experience. I've never dealt with H. spinifer, but other Heterometrus spp. are calm for a while but then also get pretty edgy and unpredictable.
(For the record, I handle my large H. longimanus for elementary school outreaches to show that scorpions aren't stingy-pinchy-monsters.)
