Emp Died + Same Symptoms

hey

just found my emp died, a immature female, i still have 2 mature males and a immature unknown sex.

but when i was looking at its pectines , i saw a tiny orange/red thing moving and it look like it went inside the scorpion ....

does anyone know what this could have been ? maybe thats why she died....

and she had the same exact death symptoms as my dune scorp that died a few weeks ago...

both stayed out of there burrow for about two weeks, they would sit in one spot , then move to a new spot, and they would move with there tail dragging and moved very slowly. then they just died.

thats what happened.

my other emps are strong, healthy, and aggressive.

If I were you, I'd put all my scorps in seperate ICU's, and do a thorough substrate change + tank cleaning. If that thing you saw was some sort of parasite, you should take every precaution necessary to prevent all your scorpions from dying.

I'm sorry you have to go through this again, that's sad.
I agree.
You might have a mite problem.
I would suggest getting predatory mites, and placing them with your scorpions, it would also explain a bit why your dune scorpions was soaking itself. I have heard of animals with parasites displaying such behavior.

The predatory mites are hunters and will go for the mites, helping you.
