Heating the Tank Empty
PostSubject: Heating the Tank   Heating the Tank Empty2/24/2009, 9:35 pm

I've been noticing that my emps have been hanging aroung the side of their tank where the heat pad is. I recently purchased a heat lamp with an infrared, heat bulb, and placed it on the side where they like to get warm. However, I've noticed that they no longer come out of their burrows when the heat lamp is on. My questions are: Can scorpions be affected by infrared heat lamps? Is a 75 watt bulb too much for a 10 gal size tank? It also tends to dry out their substrate rapidly. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do? I appreciate the help. Thanks

They are in they're burrows to escape the heat but most emps usually like to stay hidden in burrows anyways. It's natural. Also scorpions cant see red.
