There's a lot of useful info on the net regarding flatrocks. I'm surprised you're finding it hard to look for one. We have one section here in the caresheet section about hadogenes. Hopefully you'll get what you need there | |

| I have taken some advice that i read today and i put each of my flat rocks into a large tub and i glued a diveder in the middle and i set up two types of substrait in it. one side dry crushed walnut and the other side damp coco mulch mixed with sand and peat moss. the peat moss side i put a wooden hide with bark on it. the side with the walnut i put a small deli contaner with a hole cut into it with damp peat moss. they all picked the dry side with the peat moss dish.then i switched the hides and they still picked the dry side

| They're a semi arid species so shouldn't be exposed to long periods at high humidity i.e. a permanently damp substrate. I have used a dry mix of sand and coco fibre/soil for these scorpions which worked well. Water wise, offer a water dish every week or two and/or lightly mist a corner of their enclosure. Adult flat rocks are pretty straight forward to keep. Although sometimes it does feel like you are literally keeping a flat rock as they are often inactive for very long periods of time . | |
