I've seen and heard way too many stupid pet store idiotic speeches. Even when I worked at a pet store I still had to deal with idiot employees who told people complete BS.

its almost as if its a job requirement not to know anything, i was once told that a gekko gekko is a really calm docile species lol lucky i knew what it was otherwise id have been bitten everywhere hehe

I'd believe that as well. I worked with a guy that told the management that a lizard we had could be kept as a desert species AND/OR a tropical species. Needless to say the lizard died before I could save it. I actually walked in that day and was going to buy it but it was gone when I got there.
I wish I could remember what it was now.

the shop near me has finally listened to my moan about their incorrect naming of a tarantula in the shop! they only use common names, would make life so much easier for people buying if they used the "scientific names"
