Hello all, new to this forum and I've got a curiosity question for you about one of my newest emps.
This past weekend I was at a reptile show and couldn't help myself but to pick up so new emps. There were dozens of them in a single cage so when I bought a couple, the guy at the table just reached in and grabbed whoever. Well, two were males and one was a female.
My issue is with the female though. I'm no good at aging emps as I've only gotten into keeping them in the past year. So at first I thought maybe she was gravid, but she just doesn't look right making me think it's an injury, a birth defect, a disease, or who knows what else XD
Symptoms:
- Her "skin" buldges out near her anterior region, moreso on one side than the other.
- She's not fat, the buldginess is concentrated to the front half of her body. The rest of her looks normal to me.
- She seems otherwise healthy, moves around quite a bit and is eating.
Pictures:
I can take more pictures if necessary.
So, any thoughts or advice? Any idea what it is or if I should be concerned about it? Thanks for your time!
