| My emperor's tail has been stiff for a few days. His tail is straight on the ground behind him. He is alert but not active. Is this normal ? What could be wrong? | |

| When you say "alert" do you mean he respond to your light prodding but in a lethargic way? Is he an adult? (red telson) | |

| His telson is brown so he's not an adult yet. He moved away when I touched his leg with my forceps and and grabbed it with one of his pinchers when I put the forceps in front of it. But he hasn't moved from his chosen spot next to the water bowl. | |

| If he's looking very fat, he could be due for a molt soon, else, it might not be looking good. Any pics? | |

| Usually the "Fatness" of a premolt scorpion, somewhat look like the one in the picture below, or even bigger. Do keep the substrate damp and the enclosure's temperature between 80-90F and hopefully he'll molt for you soon. Keep us posted. | |

| Well he is not that big just a a little thinner. He is looking a bit worse today. He hardly moved this morning so I'm pretty worried. Thanks for the help though. I hope he'll start getting better but I doubt it. | |
