| There may be slight variations from both sexes, e.g. there can be a few types of "Oval-shaped" Genital Operculum of males but the distinguishing pointed tips of the female's "Heart-shaped" Genital Operculum should be a clear indicator on separating females from males.
I've update the guide for the picture illustration.

| Are the operculum fully formed from birth? I've wondered how soon young scorpions can be accurately sexed. Is it just a matter of waiting until the area is large enough to be able to see it clearly? | |

| A good question wodesorel Usually, they can be easily sexed from 4.instar onwards (Perhaps due to the limitation to my close-up lens to make it sooner) I'll keep this thread updated with my findings | |

I'm thinking this might be a male but I'm really new to this hobby so I have no idea " /> and I'm thinking this might be a female? It was listed and sold to me as a female, but I have no true idea. [img] [/img] same scorp but a clearer view... I hope and this is a pic of the two of them side by side. Do you think they may be P. Imperatus or Asian Forest?
