| I read on another forum that some people breed their own food, like mealworms, etc...
Where can I learn to do this and if anyone has any experience do you have recommendations? That would be awesome!

| Check out the feeder questions / discussions subforum a bit further down the page. There's got some good info there. | |

| Speaking of which...I think I might have a problem. Some workers knocked down my roach housing and A LOT escaped into the house. . I might have to hunt down my own feeders now. | |

| roaches are the easiest but scorpions refuse them, ive seen it happen quite a few times. i breed my own crickets. got about 200 of them, in a big tubawear tote, cut a hole in the top & glued a screen top on it, put some egg crates 2 bowls with eco earth that i keep moist, and carrots & a dish with cricket gel by flukers. | |

| Most scorpions refuse different food but starve them long enough and they'll eat anything. I only feed small crickets since I dont have any appropiate size roaches at the time but crickets smell really bad. -Eddy | |

| I had a few refuse roaches for a while, but now they're my only feeders and it works great. | |

| well for me i preffer blatta latteralis,or dubia
easy to breed
fast to multiply
and safe for scorpion; coz i have a friend that has a v.spinigerus that was eaten by a feeder crix.it can happend specially if you have alot of scorps and if you dont have time to check every scorp you have if theyre all eating or not. scorps will eat anything if they are used to what your giving them from the start or if they are hungry
so for me roach is better.that is only my opinion
