Emps are fighting

Got some new emps today along with 5 Holothele incei.

The emps were fighting pretty violently and were not afraid to use their stinger. They went pretty crazy and I felt like I had to separate them. What should I do about it? Do you think they will get used to eachother or should I let the female get settled before introducing the male to the enclosure? Every input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

some say males are more territorial and some say females are.id redo the enclosure and put em both in there at the same time. let em both go through a bonding experience of "where the f are we?!,we need to work together".

i did that with my emps and they make burrows together and share em.
only once have i seen a fight i felt i had to intervene.i did that by throwing a couple of crickets at em and they both dived into one of the burrows they made together and attacked and shared the crickets trapped in the burrow.it was kinda cute,both the rear portions of their bodies were hanging out while they were munching.

yeah you should always introduce into a tank together even if you already had one in you shoulf do as shinign says redo the tank so there is no territorial issues

most will fight for a while but it normally calms down

If they have the room for it, one of them will flee. Just let them fight it out but keep an eye on them.

They were both introduced at the same time. It was pretty intimidating cus it looked like they wanted to kill eachother...

I have fed them both one dubia half their size and will try again when they're done eating

Hehe, i know. It was ment for my holothele incei but they're only like 2-3 cm in legspan now. Would never had seen them again xD

i always try setting my emps tank up all pretty and nice looking but by morning everyings torn apart and in different spots lol this morning i found the water dish burried under a pile of coco fibers from the bigger one trying to get into the little hide

i say thats a verrrry nice setup there but not for emps.
whats that substrate?looks spiffy.

its sad you have to redo all that.can you get them emps a different enclosure and leave that masterpiece as is for something that would fit it more as is?

How come people thinks peat and bark is not for emps? xD
It's 95% peat and 5 % bark. It's damp and the humidity in the cage varies from 70-85%. Heat= 22-28 celsius. It's perfect for emps!

I think people are thrown off by the old desert background I've had there since I bought the enclosure 3 years ago xD

i think its perfect for emps was just saying that they will dig it up so wont stay all niceely planted and stuff lol it will be wrecked in a month...didnt even notice the background lol ...noew i do i think thats the one bit i would change to a nice woodland/forest background lol

just meant you would need to keep putting stuff back all the time lol... mine constantly fill the water bowl up with substrate which annoys me loli also keep pinching substrate for other tanks so the level has gone down by a few inches lolz...considering it was like 10" high at the back it dont really matter lol

yeah the background and clarity of the pic throw us off.
i still say it needs more substrate.

I disagree with it NEEDING more substrate. But i will add more when I buy a new bag, and i will fill it against the back

i could most definitely could be wrong as i dont have a good view of the sub levels like i would in person.

I'm starting to think when I clean the tank next, I'm gonna add up to about 10" of substrate too, so there's plenty. But, you know, my girl never digs, she comes out when the heat lamp goes on and uses her "show" hides (the ones bought from the store).

You all remember she was kept on sand previously, do you think that's why she might not dig in her substrate?
