| I just introduced male emp to my female emp and there doing nothing but fighting . They just keep on trying to sting each each other. I have them in a ten gallon tank. Should I separate them if this keeps on for a couple of days when they just walk into each other and get so angry. | |

| Try taking both out of the tank, rearranging everything and stirring up the substrate, then put them both in at the same time. That helps to eliminate territory disputes.
Were they holding pinchers when they fought? If so, it may have been mating.

| They would just pinch any body part of the other scorpion they could get. One just went in a burrow so I might leave them alone and see how it works out and if It doesn't I will move around some things hopefully everything will work out. I am guessing that another shelter would not be a bad idea. | |

| Generally it's a good idea to have at least as many hides as there are scorpions. (Even so they usually share the same one, but it's still a good idea). I'm glad my idea worked. | |

| Can we get a clearer picture of the one on the bottom? It looks like it might have an impaction. | |

| Well I think he means that he got stung? Because there is some swelling. I do not have access to the camera so I cant take another pick but ya you can see in the one I posted above that there is swelling. Is there a chance that he will live or does this mean scorp heaven? | |

| It might not be from a sting -- it could be he has an internal impaction. I'm not sure how to fix those. I could be wrong and it could just be swelling, but scorpions are immune to their own species' venom. | |

| Well I guess time will tell....And when you use impaction do you mean like it ate something not to good for it that could get stuck? I did not notice this earlier in the day so this just happened within the last couple of hours or I just some how over looked it. | |

That's pretty much it. It's also easy to overlook stuff unless you have an eye for it.

| Pop in another hide for now and just wait and see, or you can take him out until you can get a better shot of the male for the guys here to have a look at. xxxxxx | |

| Is that the same scorp in both photos? The second photo looks a bit worse, like there may be a potentially serious impaction there.
The only thing I can think of is to offer appropriate prey (crickets or roaches) and lots of water (keep a full dish and damp substrate). Does anyone else here have any suggestions for impacted scorps?

| well it looks to me that if its blocked food that the scorp has eaten then its nearly at the tail end! so looks like it will be out soon! I would suggest water and maybe raise temps, as temps raises their digestion etc etc. But im no expert just by "common sense" and "female thoughts" xxxxx | |

| I had scorp like that live a full life. As long as they have enough food, water, humidity, space, ect. They should be okay. But check for any clear liquids coming out. If the scorp is bleeding you need to add super glue or baking flour to help it out. -Eddy | |
