Today I recieved the scorpions which I assumed where th most overrated

Anyway, I ordered one(Got three, shout out to G-thing)
Their coloring is awesome
They look red with splashed black paint on them.

And man, why does my camera overdo the flash, or under does it with no flash?

Very Nice...

For the flash put some tissue in front of it to diffuse it. Play w/ the thickness of it to get it the way you want..

I have a Canon s3 and i use a white film container that i slide over the flash to diffuse it..just dont look at it when it flashes or you'll see white forever..

Nice additions! The coloration of this species is awesome!

These guys are fun.

As for the camera, see if you can play with the manual settings and reduce the exposure (or raise the aperture setting).

That sucks. I had five and only two made it to adulthood.

I started with 20. I housed them communally at 2i/3i for over a month (stupid stupid stupid) and lost 4 to cannibalism. Then recently lost 1 molting to 5i, so I'm left with 15.

You know Venom I have a couple of 2I jacksoni if you want anymore or need any replacements. Its just a matter of meeting up.

I do have other scorps (G. madagascariensis and H. judaicus - breeding projects) so they arn't for sale. But hopfully one of these days
Really you think B. jacksoni are overrated? IMO I think they are a pretty fun scorpion and have a nice coloration. Yeah I have only gone to the expo in Wheaton, IL

Well, they are what they are said to be, but they are reccommended too much.
I always recommended C.Vittatus but my suggestion was always lost in Jacksoni suggestions

Probably because B. jacksoni is larger and more "impressive" looking. Don't get me wrong, C. vittatus is a cool-looking scorp, but earlier on in the hobby I'd rather have the former for show.

I think C. vittatus is cool for the fact that A) it's a North American species, and B) it's the most widespread species in North America.

Pfft, I hate bright colors.
