2 New Emps today

Since the passing of my first emperor a few weeks ago i decided i was going to get a male. So i did that today and also got a new female. I have the two females now and the one male. The two new ones seem very docile and are very active inside the new enclosure, however my previous female seems like she is getting territorial and likes to pick fights with the new ones. should i be worried or will this behavior eventually stop?

I added a female to my males enclosure after about 3 months of owning him. They fought once when I put them in together, but I broke it up by grabbing the females stinger gently with my tongs and kept her from dominating the much smaller male.
After that they never fought again, they share a hide almost 24/7, and don't even fight over food.

Although I didn't need to, many people on the forum will say to move around the decor and hides, then place all your scorpions in to the enclosure. This way its all new to them, and they don't have any claimed territory.

That sounds like a good idea if her aggression continues I'll try that for sure

well it definately seems like the aggression has subsided. I have noticed some odd behavior from my new female today. i tried to feed her and she takes a cricket and just squeezes it and throws it aside. I am concerned because she looks very skinny and the rear end of her body just hangs down like she cant keep her back straight. Here's a pic.

Hmmmm... She could be old. Any difficulty moving around? Could be parasites too. Maybe separate her out just in case.

Doesn't look too old. Her telson says she has 1 molt left at least.

But it sounds like territorial killings to me, maybe she is about to molt?

I have yet for a scorpion in my care to molt.

That scorpion is definitely not in premolt, and looks very malnourished to me.

Try hand feeding it worms or something. If it was premolt you'd see it's needing to get out of it's old shell or whatever you wanna call it. That one is like an Ethiopian.

deffo sub adult and deffo not gonna molt, could be dehydrated but im leaning towards parasite it just doesnt look well specially for a female they should be nice and plump

i seen my fata$$ female emp with her tail down like that today.i have never seen her do it.i opened the lid to try to get her in my hands but as soon as the vibrations were made she put her arse in reverse 100 mph back to her hide.ive never seen an emp move that fast.i was like "oooook nevermind then".

Haha yeah they can certainly move when the want to our female does that as soon as the door to the tank moves so funny watching them move that fast in reverse lol

ive seen an emp do a full 180 in a split second but i didnt know they could move this fast.it amazed me. i can now say emps are freaking fast when they want to be.

about the tail arse down thing i hope its nothing serious.the ops looks malnourished mine seems a lil overnourished.maybe it has something to do with that?

not sure. I've actually seen my male jump before. That was a pretty amusing sight

lmao i saw my male come out of hiding last night walk around the entire viv, go under another hide spot just to take a poop before returning to his original location.

See it's not just me that sees things pooping lol
