Will Pothos plant survive in coco fiber/husk? Empty

My new enclosure for my red claw is bare as heck, so I was going to get a large pothos plant and split it in half, 1 for my emp and 1 for my red claw, question is does it need a pot and soil or can I just use the coco fiber substrate?

How about you just leave the plant in the original pot it was in and cover the top of it in the coco fibers....That way the plant keeps its original soil and it looks natural.

the ones that they come in are huge :/ so I would have to get a smaller one anyways and I was going to split the plant in half so I could put it in both of my terrariums

Splitting it in half is fine. Just make sure the root systems are still good for each piece. Honestly, I just planted the dang thing in the tank with its own dirt and covered it, no pot or anything. I know, not the best considering whatever chemicals may have lurked in the potting soil, but everything worked out extremely well and my excuse is that I was just getting into the hobby at the time Smile

O crap I forgot about the chemicals that they would use on them, I would be getting it from Wal mart or home depot since I dono where else to buy em.

Even if I did keep them in a pot, the supposed chemicals would still get into the coco fiber?
