how can i minimize mould on coco fibre?

I understand that it does them no harm,it's just that i never used to get it but recently there's loads of it.

mould can come from many things.. plant stuff, chunks of feeder bugs.. you name it
clean more.. or get potting soil instead.. i dont experiance as much mould with that..

woodlice - they do a great job they love mould

tropical pillbugs is really good too.. allso eats dead feeder bugs

yes, as well as eating other decaying matter. (millipedes seem to do a good job, too..)

yeah, pill bugs are great, they reproduce really well too.

and they eat mites bonus!

They don't think much of them, they just mind their own business since the janitors are busy doing their job

Does good ventilation helps preventing mould?

yes it does. and occasionally ya scorpion may see the wood louse as food - well mine do anyway.

yeah, good venitlation will help with all sorts of problems.

so what, i can just get a couple from my garden and shove 'em in?

yeah, I suppose (I usually go into the local forest and get stuff, it seems..."cleaner")

DONT get them straight from your garden and throw them in, you need to 'detox' them first. You dont know if they have any toxins in them.

However if you want a starter colony of UK woodlice pm me and I will send you some with a care sheet

how do you detox them?

Raise them by themselves in a terrarium for a generation or two.
