Fogger safe?

I dont have an emp scorp yet but Im building an enclosure for one atm. Question, to keep the tank humid/moist can I use a reptifogger now and then?

Just dump water on the substrate..thats what im doing ,well better wait for the masters for a much better answer

Sure you can, just make sure the fogger isn't sitting where the scorp can get to it. They get hot!

i thought about getting a fogger for my massive tank, but thats is ineffective for a 55, so i just pour 3 quarts every now and them to keep a decent humidty.

Yeah I have a 12x12x12 Exo Terra and the fogger will come in from the top of the tank.

I'm not sure what a reptifogger is, but any fog machine for use in a tank should be one that only uses water.

+1 you dont want to be dumping any dodgy chemicals in there

yeah it is only water, aint no chemicals, i had one for my chameleon but it makes a load noise when the fogger goes of and use to scare the crap out of him so i got rid of it lol im sure it might startle scorps aswell.

does it vibrate much? i think they would be more stressed by vibrations rather than noise.... have seen foggers used in turtle set ups with waterfall and they look awesome, at one point (before we realised they was on the illegal list) we was looking in to getting chineese swimming scorpions and have a fogger with a mini waterfall n stuff would have been amazing.....another reason to get onto the council for my licence!

mine didnt vibrate much only a little it was the sound it made when it released the fog, poor chameleon would hide in his bush for about 15 mins scared to come out lol, supose it depends on what brand your using, i know exoterra do one. and dont get me started on council and dwa

Can an emp live in a dryer set up with a small water dish and occasional misting? Or does it have to be wet all the time? Or how about having a dry tank but one corner built to retain some moisture?

Humidity should be kept at 70% in the tank

Ah ok. Do you know if the same applies to the Asian Forest Scorp?

+1. They're forest species, and the forests where they come from are quite humid.

It doesn't have to be "wet" in the tank, you just need a high ambient humidity.

Besides the mild vibrating, does the fogger do anything else? I don't have experience with them, so I can't suggest it without knowing a little more. Since you said it's on top of the tank, I guess you don't have to worry about it emitting heat as Canth said and you don't have to worry about climbing from the scorpion, am I right in this? By the way, what is your heating source and where will it be if you're using one.
