| dont use UVA or UVB
grab an exoterra 15w lamp over them, or 50w on the side of the tank make sure it is infrared or the blu glow type.
UVA and UVB are apparently dangerous, only use them if you have live plants in the tank, and dont keep it on for more than 8-12 hours.
just repeating what i've read and been told
you can keep more than 1 in the same viv, just make sure they are the same size

| You can use a UV light on your scorp, but are servel differnt schools of thougt on it being dangerous for longer periode, i wouldnt keep any scorp under a UV light for very long. I have a small handheld device i use for showing ppl that scorps can "glow" thats abit it.. | |

| An alternative heat source is a heat mat placed on the back side of the tank. | |

| heat mats dont raise the temps much, and a well placed bulb or two for night and day temps will be much cheaper and better, depending on your local prices and such. my mat wasnt doing much for the emps so its with the flat rock | |

| Spose it depends on the type of heat mat and the heat desired. My emps and flat rock do fine with heat mats giving them about 27 celcius but i've heard that they don't work very well for some people. | |

you can keep more than 1 in the same viv, just make sure they are the same size i know that they cant see infrared but would scorpions be able to see the "blu glow" type of light? i have a 50W blu glo night time light... i put it on at night time. but if i put it on in the morning time, would scorpions be able to see the light or no?

| I'm not sure either way. The one's That I have on the blu glow don't seem to mind coming out at night (giant emperor and a baby desert hairy)
All I know is, it is designed especially for scorpions and tarantulas as to not emit the UVA/UVB light that is supposed to be harmful. plus, blu glow are cheaper. signifcantly
its all up to you. infrared is the go-to though.
