One more to come, its a handling vid on one of my largest Hottentottta hottentotta. She's a 7th instar proud mum who has given birth to a total of 103 scorplings in 3 broods.

Cool vid... How do you pick them up? Do you scoop them with something else or tail or what??

Depending on the enclosure size, if its big, you can place your palm flat on the substrate and gently coax the scorp into position by using a tongs to guide the scorp. If its a small deli, i'll place a flat bark and coax the scorp to walk on it before picking up the whole bark (to be transfered to my palm).
Standby a deli cup nearby, do all these in low ground and in a fairly uncluttered space, as unexpected things like sudden sprint or movement might injure the scorp (if it was a high fall) and they tend to disappear fast behind cabinets, furnitures etc

What you do with them actually dont say me much, BUT because you do this you let people on forums see that scorpions are not the stunguns they are depicted to be.
They see something to walk on and they walk on it. They do not want to sting their owner or anything too big to be a risk to get killed.
So, the only thing I can say is, BIG hottentotta (gravid?) and cheers to you for letting people know they 're not like wasps.. and actually are animals like every other critter around. Only out to reproduce, eat and be safe.

anything could kill you if it wanted to!! to sting is not all Scorpions first response to threat... just like any other creature you cannot truelly know how it will react to human contact till it happens and then they dont all react the same...still saying that i wouldnt have the balls to hold somthing that could potentially kill you....hang on any scorp could potentially kill you so guess thats a lie but any over the toxicity of 2 i dont have the balls to hold lolz
But that is prly coz i have really bad reactions to mosquitos and wasps.... i have seen that most buthidae species would rather run than fight a human

Very much so, they want to survive and thus run. What would you do if something a few 1000x as heavy and big would pick you up... I'd run instead of bite its little toenails
