You can do it now. If they are hungry, they'll take it down.

Street is right bro
Btw, I've posted this vid before. This HH below is only 4i.
PS: Try to remove the superworm(SW) if its not taken within a day. Especially when you suspect a molt is coming up on your HH. They can remain burrowed and lay low till the chance is right.. to strike!

I would consider them to have fast growth rate among the scorps that i have. It might also depends on individual settings the keeper provides..
By powerfeeding and providing optimal temperature/enclosure settings, it will result in, ceteris paribus, faster growth rate to attain the next instar.
Among the few scorps i've kept, fastest growth rate still goes to Centruroides margaritatus. From birth to adulthood in abt 4 months, Hottentotta hottentotta in 5-6 months

She's reached 7i in July and I received her in the last week of september. She has definitely got bigger since then, although she've been refusing food the last 1-2 weeks. Will try to get an updated pic up in the evening when she comes out of her hide

Btw. are yours H. hottentotta or caboverdensis? I knew they had been synonimyzed but apparently caboverdensis has been classified as separate sp. again I've been making some research the last days and I'm doing now a "small" writeup of the two sp. , will make it easier to all fellow hobbyists as they will not need to search the info somewhere else and read miles and miles of cientific papers

It is true. Hottentotta hottentotta are Parthenogenetic. Most (e.g. 99.9%) or if not all, of the H.hottentotta circulating in the hobby are all females.
