It is true. Hottentotta hottentotta are Parthenogenetic. Most (e.g. 99.9%) or if not all, of the H.hottentotta circulating in the hobby are all females. | |

| Wow i was completely unaware some scorpions had the ability to reproduce without males...My only question is do they do it often or is it just a once in a blue moon kind of thing?Now im going to have to try to buy a couple of this species just gotta find a breeder that deals with them lol Awesome info | |

Thanks for your comments mate. Parthenogenetic is "in their blood". They will reproduce without having to mate once they have reach maturity | |

| speaking of, more than 2 months has passed but my 5i HH is still not molting. she's eating a lot and behaving normally up to now that's why i'm confused. any thoughts? | |
