I find some saying medium and other fast. So I kinda get confused I would consider them to have fast growth rate among the scorps that i have. It might also depends on individual settings the keeper provides.. By powerfeeding and providing optimal temperature/enclosure settings, it will result in, ceteris paribus, faster growth rate to attain the next instar. Among the few scorps i've kept, fastest growth rate still goes to Centruroides margaritatus. From birth to adulthood in abt 4 months, Hottentotta hottentotta in 5-6 months

| She's reached 7i in July and I received her in the last week of september. She has definitely got bigger since then, although she've been refusing food the last 1-2 weeks. Will try to get an updated pic up in the evening when she comes out of her hide | |

It is true. Hottentotta hottentotta are Parthenogenetic. Most (e.g. 99.9%) or if not all, of the H.hottentotta circulating in the hobby are all females.

Thanks for your comments mate. Parthenogenetic is "in their blood". They will reproduce without having to mate once they have reach maturity
