| Well that is possible, because its now about 3-4 months that i bought him and he hadnt molted since that time. thought that they are molting burrowed or hidden somewhere not at open space on sand... | |

| Yes, at times, they do molt out in the open sand and being on their backs. Do not attempt to flip her upright again | |

Do not attempt to flip her upright again Thank you all for advice. This is my third scorpion so I dont have any large amount of experiences. I have read carefully many articles but this is the thing I never met in any text. I started to have a light panic when i saw him lazy and lying on his back. I will show u pics after he molt. This is a feeding video i made few weeks after i brought him home. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZLghq0xVhM

| I have very bad news guys. Through the night my scorp p.t. died ... I cant understand why. He had a right habitat with hiding, temperature, regular amount of mini crickets, once a week or two misting ... It really sucks, I really cared for him | |

| So sorry to hear that mate.. It's a terrible thing to go through especially when you have made effort in keeping things right. Is he the same scorpion that flipped over?
P.transvaalicus are pretty hardy, it might be just a weird incidence. For further analysis, some pics of him and the enclosure would help.

| Nice looking Parabuthus. To host images, click the "host an image" icon, select the file you want to upload, click "host it" and then copy and paste the code under "Image".
You could also put the image url between Image tags. (Click the image icon and paste the image url)

| Thanks, I am hoping to get her a male. She's very calm compared to my uroplectes, which strike out the moment I open the cage. | |

| Soooo. Anyone ever kept Parabuthus planicauda. I recently acquired two P. planicaudas of varying sizes. One is quite large, roughly 8cm so I'm guessing it is probably and adult? And a much smaller one that might possibly be fourth or fifth instar. They are doing great in Naturalistic style setups but am always looking for more info so if anyone can give me any pointers, that would be great. | |

Keep them exactly the same as your schlechteri, consolidated sand is a must as they do like to burrow and always have a bottle cap of water available. From the photos that you posted on Deviant Exotics I would also say its a adult female, as males are much smaller and thinner. Gongrats on the new addition!

| Hey bud My intention was to get a better shot at the embryos. Of course, it's all at my own risk. That's for sure. | |
