Subject: Weird white dots/mushroom? 9/21/2010, 5:45 pm
Hey been a while but all has been gong well until the other day the tank is covered in small white spots? and bang in the middle a mushroom shaped thing? any ideas how to get rid or what it is?

Are you able to post a picture?
From the sounds of it, I would hesitate to guess mold. Likely from the tropical temperature and moisture.
White dots form alongside (generally) a white cotton-candy thread, which indicates mold.
I'd wait to see what others say, but if it's like my over-watered houseplants, you've got a case of the "change your dirt-ies"

if you dont like the way something looks or cant figure out what it is, it might be time for a spot clean...
but yeah like the other guy, i definitely wanna see a pic...
