| Temps around 83-87F. Not sure about the humidity but I can tell you DRY. This gal made the largest effort to burrow among the rest of her mates. Shortly after, she fattened up and popped a seam, so burrowing may be an indicator of an upcoming molt (?)
It was also cute to watch her make a clearing shortly before her molt.

| I believe about the same, although I've heard that mauri's do better in groups while australis are better in breeding pairs.

| I lost an Australis under the same conditions from a molt and someone said I had it too dry, but you seemed to have good luck with it. | |

They're called "Amac" boxes...weird name. I bought them from "The Container Store" - http://www.containerstore.com. $4-5 US each. I believe they're acrylic. I also use 24 and 36 compartment boxes for scorplings, which is working out well. -Chris | |

-Chris I think you may be right about the burrowing and moulting... I have 3 A.m.'s and 2 moulted and both cleaned out their scrapes and covered over their entrances and basically hid away inside and moulted... then later opened the door and kicked out their exuvium... |
