picked up!

today is a good day for me.

i picked up my scorp for the first time with bare hands, im really happy!
i know to most here it sounds corny that i just picked up my scorp for the first time and im this happy, but the story is is that i have had arachnophobia my whole life and i got the scorp to overcome my fear (mind over matter or something along those lines lol) and i have gradually become more and more comfortable with her. and i finally picked her up and 'played' with her for a bit.

so yeah... im just happy i finally over came that fear...

i still hate spiders though.

i dunno if things have changed since i was on here but it is generally a bad idea to handle arachnids as it stresses them and if something goes wrong either you or the scorp or both will get hurt, and its quite likely to go wrong...

it was to change her home around around a bit im still trying to make it nice for her. but yes i understand this.

Just to add for future reference, NEVER pick a scorpion up by its tail in case you did not already know. Just lay your hand flat on the substrate and encourage the scorpion to walk onto it.
