We just got back from buying our replacement emperor, and while we got a healthy looking male sub-adult, he had two or three huge adults with fully black telsons. What does that mean??

If they were fully black then they were not emperors. They were probably a Heterometrus species. (Similar, but totally different once you know the similarities and differences between the two)

Yes, they were fully black. I thought that they looked slightly different than the Emps. That would make sense then wouldn't it???
Thanks!!
