| I've posted a couple pic of the scorp I've been asking about but there not very clear so I'm going to post some new ones tonight but being asthough he's from the southern states should I go with a half sand half coconut substrate until I'm sure of his species? Sorry to keep touching on this scorp just want him as comfortable as possible | |

| I looked at your pics and boy the resolution was bad. I am no expert but I think it looks like an Arizona Bark Scorpion.[img] [/img][img] [/img] Does that look like it? | |

Is the tail the same? You can use sand as a substrate. Probly 50-60% humidity, 85-95 degrees they are common where I live. And in the summer this is about the temp and humidity they seem to thrive in. When I catch them I feed them small crickets ants, flies. about 2.5" is the largest I have seen.

| If you are using coconut sub it should be fine. Just dont have it soaking wet. They like dampness so youre good. Arizona Barks like to climb and will escape given the chance. They have a nasty sting. I dont think they dig much. You will usually find them under a piece of wood or a rock | |

| From a exotic pet store it was sold as a Texas yellow but I was told that don't nesasarily mean it's from there just a general name for a southern scorp | |

| I'm going to have to step in here and say that is NOT a Centruroides.
Sithis, the pics you posted were of two different species -- one was a Centruroides sp., but the other looked more like a Vaejovis sp.
Sinister, does your new camera have a macro setting? It's usually designated by a tulip symbol. Try backing up a bit; most camera's won't focus if you're too close to the subject.
