Quick question, is it advisable to feed my scorpions the odd cricket i find outside? They are the pitch black kind, not sure if it's the same or if it would be harmful to them.

In general dont feed anything you find outside as they can carry parasites

also, black crickets are harder for them to digest

They can't be any harder to digest than a cockroach . . .
I'd stick by what Graham said. Parasites or pesticides can easily come in from wild-caught prey items.
By the way, the crickets you speak of are commonly known as field crickets.
