| One of the females caught May 1 with my professor and his kids. Six other females standing by. Expect a full breeding report to follow, once the kiddos hit 2I. | |

| Thanks guys! I was gone for the weekend, came home and checked on her, and everyone's still doing well. There's so many that they're spilling off the top and clinging to the sides of her mesosoma. | |

| No new pics, but the fourth one collected the same night as the others popped either today or yesterday -- as did my HUGE Vaejovis / Hoffimanus sp. that was collected in Arizona last month. | |

| In terms of raising? Not really, I think they're fairly easy. They don't burrow three feet into the sand. In terms of size? Much smaller . . . though they do have the same "wander about lots" thing going on for them. | |

| Pics, courtesy of Lori! Clicky for big. Found this first instar off of mom's back already, but looking alive and well (from brood #2). Brood #4 -- you can see the hollow mom dug out under her bark in the first pic. And the Vaejovis sp. (guessing spinigerus).

| wow!!! impressive breeding results! those mordax are amazing. the little scorpling on its own made me go "aww" despite myself lol and well done with the Vaejovis/Hoffimanus thingy! i have one that i've been growing on from sling (managed to kill most of the rest through over-watering ) the last is thriving though! how big is mature for them just out of curiosity? | |

| I've seen scorps listed as V. spinigerus range anywhere from less than an inch to about three inches -- one on the smaller side I've had for a year and a half without any molts, and it's been fat enough to look gravid for about six months. Part of me thinks they're just random members of the genus that weren't properly identified. | |
