PostSubject: clean up crew... woodlice   clean up crew... woodlice Empty1/22/2009, 10:33 am

Just been given a start up colony of these little fella's. long overdue for getting them since mites attacked my iomachus babies as well as mum eating them!
They seem pretty easy to culture as well... just need humidity right. So hopefully we will have the mite problem under control... not that it is really bad in the first place... just darn right irritating!
It's not so bad with reptiles you can spray enclosure with bug spray.. but that doens't to T''s and scorps a lot of good lol!

no doubt we will have more than we need soon so if anyone is wanting any please give me a shout

(admins... wasn't sure whether to put these in classifieds or under inverts, since it's a bit of both, i'll leave it to you where to actually place this thread lol)

This place is fine, Lisa. Smile

Just a heads up, after an experience this summer, larger isopods may mistake young scorpions for "organic debris."

Wolflice sounds awesome.

When I was little I used to poke woodlice so they'd curl up in a ball, then roll them away.

I have since discovered they are land crustaceans and have gills...

Now they work for me!
