| was looking on martin goss site and he has some new scorpions in.
he has some Diplocentrus spitzeri in... but the picture he has looks identical to scorpio maurus like what i have.
I was under the impression that the D.Spitzeri was mahogony red / brown with orange banding and legs. the peds also look to be slightly more angular than S.Maurus.
Google any image of athe D.spitzeri and i cant find one like this picture: -
http://www.martingoss.co.uk/ (under scorpions its the first one listed)
Has anyone seen or heard of a colour variation? I'm interested in them and have emailed him to make sure they are the D.Spitzeri before i order lol! Just wondered if i was seeing things

| got a reply, he said the scorpion defo came from arizona. but after looking through pictures of various Diplocentrus sp i personally think it is a Diplocentrus zacatecanus. Which is mexican.
He said his contact is pretty reliable so i might chance it. but it certainly doesn't look like D.Spitzeri, colouration is wrong unless there is another colour variation that hasn' been photographed for public viewing on the web yet.

| If he says it's from AZ, then why wouldn't it be from AZ? Here is a link to a Diplocentrus sp from AZ called D. pelonhillensis. It could be the same sp. | |

| Well he agree's he's not sure its the spitzeri because its the wrong colour! Hes' getting back to his supplier for a another ID. But top marks to the guy anyway for double checking, i know of several shops that would say yeah yeah (go away)
And i wasn't disputing the fact they come from arizona (which borders mexico anyway) It's just a thing i have if something doesn't look right. When we start our business I wouldn't like to think that I have sold a mis-ID'd scorpion.
Anyhow after a couple of emails turns out he had 4 left and has done a nice deal for me on the agreement he gets first grabs on the slings... cant say fairer than that.
