need expert opinion

my Vaejovis carolinianus female has been pretty bloated since ive had her. (she was wild caught and ive had her about 3 months) i read somewhere that their gestation period is almost a year. i need someone to look at the pic and tell me if they thing she is gravid. sorry for the bad quality.

You need a better quality pic to tell. How big is she? If I had to guess I'd say premolt just based on it's chela size, it doesn't seem to be mature yet

I agree. I could only found a website saying that they grow to 1.5 inches long, but that seemed pretty small to me. If that is true, it could be close.

i measured the lil cutie this morning and she is 1.5" and she has been all pudgy for the last month or so.

Hmmm...well then it's 50/50 for me. This is a pretty small species but I would wager bigger than 1.5. Gets us a better picture if possible otherwise...it's just a waiting game.

+1. Either way, humidity is important.

when i first got her. first time holding her ever<3 unfortunately she wasnt being cared for at my friends. that is why i asked him if i could have her. she survived and is healthy but the other in the crappy tank didnt survive ='[

Looks to small to me. Maybe one more molt to maturity.

how long does a molt take place? ive had her for a while. she hasnt even shown signs that her shell is ready to come off lol.
